There are a variety of places offering live music in Sausalito, so you’ll generally have 2-3 options during the weekends and can generally find something every other night of the week. See below for details on where and how to find out what’s on the calendar for each.

The No Name Bar
A historic staple in Sausalito’s music scene, The No Name Bar has been welcoming famous musicians, authors, artists, and locals since 1959. Known for its authentic vibe and nightly live music, this bar features a cozy garden patio and a diverse lineup that guarantees something for everyone.

Sausalito Seahorse
The Seahorse is celebrated for its dynamic music calendar and dance-centric atmosphere. Here, music enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of genres, from salsa and Brazilian music to jazz, with regular group classes for those eager to learn new dance styles. Friday and Saturday are music nights (and occasionally Thursday). Sunday afternoons have dancing (around 4pm) and an early band (around 5pm).

Sausalito Cruising Club
This venue is a premier spot to catch live performances in Sausalito, but it is a membership organization, so find a member to invite you!

Serving classic Italian cuisine in a cozy atmosphere and a favorite for its regular live music nights covering genres from jazz to classical music. Typically has music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights:

Fresh, authentic Italian flavors, showcasing a variety of pastas, pizzas, and seafood dishes. Hosts local bands for great dinner music, but check with the restaurant to find out when they’ll have live music.

Travis Marina Bar (Presidio Yacht Club)
Tucked away beneath the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, Travis Marina Bar offers a rustic and unpretentious atmosphere that’s rich in character and history. The bar occasionally features live bands that cover a wide range of genres, from rock to blues. The bar can be closed some days for private events, so check before heading over.

Smitty’s Bar
An old-school local bar with pool tables, shuffleboard, TVs for sports and great beers on tap. Occasionally will feature live music (typically has live bands for parties, like Halloween or New Year’s Eve). Don’t have a calendar on their site but Instagram is probably the best place to find out if there are any events.
